I couldn’t find the fabric for the red vestment for a long time. It was either wrong shade or wrong texture, but I eventually found Clarke & Clarke Linoso Cranberry fabric. It’s such a stunning colour and combined with a linen texture and the silver thread of the crosses, the vestment is simply breath-taking. All of the vestments in this set are beautiful and have something very special and powerful about them, but this one is going to be my favourite. Just thinking of this red in a church stripped bare on Good Friday or combined with the flames on Pentecost gives me goosebumps.
