Welcome
My name is Ola Godbeer. I’ve lived in Exeter since 2005 and as my family is back in Poland, Blessed Sacrament Parish has been my home and family for the past twenty years.

A Calling, Not Just a Craft
I always loved creating beautiful things, but a few years ago I realised that it was more than a creative skill – it’s craftsmanship, one of the charisms of the Holy Spirit. Then I began sewing for the Lord. It brought me so much joy, but I could sense that there was an invitation to something deeper.
“And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.”
Exodus 28:2
A Glimpse of Glory
Each vestment is an offering – a quiet act of worship, a humble glimpse of God’s majesty and glory.
The General Instruction to Roman Missal says that vestments have a two-fold purpose: they signify the role of the priest, but they also should enhance the beauty and sacredness of the rites they serve. Like everything in liturgy, they are meant to glorify God.
Beauty in liturgy matters. Whether in architecture, art, music, ritual or vestments, it inspires an awe and wonder of God and draws us deeper into worship.
